I use this book after one or two elementary books before young pianists learn their notes. Beyer will lead the students to progress piece by piece, all the way to the intermediate level. Some compositions are very pretty.

Just that, this edition, has a few errors and the prints are. It is a good value but I'd rather buy other edition for my students. One person found this review helpful. It would be even better if someone would create an edition for young children. I found this book in two volumes with the note size magnified and artwork included to appeal to young children at the Beseto store in Baltimore, Maryland. Youngest students (age 4 and up) are doing very well with it.
